Car costing me more!

Had even more expense with the car again. Ran over a piece of Scaffolding and cracked my Alloy wheel. So I am now £207 out of pocket!! Will have to work a few more shifts at First Choice to cover that!

Spending on my car again!

Just spent £330 on my car insurance ouch! Working a shift at First Choice this Saturday so this will be a small help. All I have done these last few weeks is work and then spend money on dull things like bills and my car. No money now so waiting till pay day for fun again!

Spending on my car

Feeling the pinch in the form of spending on my car. First the service at Ford and now the Car tax £205 for the year ouch! In June I have the pleasure of buying the insurance for the year looks like this will be about £330 and my windscreen has a small crack which needs to be sorted! Think I might be needing to do more shifts for First Choice after all!

All work and no play

Have been working my butt off. As if Monday to Friday was not enough I worked on Saturday back in the First Choice shop. The sooner the dreaded credit card bill goes the better! Enjoyed Sunday as a day of rest and I was blessed with sunshine. Not wasting it I went out for a walk around an old Silver mine and then back home to tidy up the garden. The recent rain has helped my plants but unfortunately helped the weeds rather too much, they are taking over! Looks like the Bank Holiday will be garden tidy up part two!

Fat Wet Weekend

As I am working regular office hours now it is just typical that we had a wet weekend. My plan to tidy up the garden and buy a fire pit have been placed on hold again. Trapped in the house due to heavy rain, me and Phillip arranged an evening escape at the Priory for a lovely meal with his Mum and Dad. Enjoyed sun dried tomato and pesto pasta yummy. Felt really healthy so I was naughty and had the Irish Cream Cheesecake for dessert. Paid for it later as I felt stuffed to the max! Hoped to go out for a walk and burn off the fat on Sunday but another thoroughly wet day so no keep fit, rather more keep fat as we enjoyed a meal at Phil's brothers!

Film Night

Had a chilled night after work last night and watched a movie on our big screen. Wanted a few laughs so me and Phil watched "Shaun of the Dead". Same actors as Hot Fuzz and not quite as funny but made me giggle on another wet and generally miserable Thursday. Worried tonight might turn into another movie night as rain is stopping play, wanted to go out but better off having a night in. Film night might be every night for the next couple of days as a wet weekend is scheduled, great. At least with 681 DVDs I can have a different movie night for nearly 2 years, just as well with the UK weather!

Rainy Days

To use the words of Karen Carpenter "Rainy days and Mondays always get me down". Well, OK, maybe not the Monday just gone as it was a Bank Holiday, but this rainy day has got me down. I have just got the garden looking fab and sorted through my Spring/Summer wardrobe when Winter strikes back. The song says "What a difference a day makes, 24 little hours", I say 48 hours and we are back to Winter. On Sunday I was wearing a vest, T-shirt for Monday, Tuesday the jacket stayed on and now I am wearing a jumper not only is this a fashion crisis I fear that Summer may have come and gone. Hope you enjoyed your Bank Holiday BBQs Brits, now put the BBQ back in the shed!
